E-paper Technology
Electronic paper, e-paper and electrophoretic display are all names for a technology designed to mimic the appearance of ordinary ink on paper. Unlike conventional back-lit LCD panels, e-paper displays reflect light like ordinary paper. Once an image is set on the screen, this bistable display is capable of holding the image indefinitely without drawing electricity. The resulting power savings reduces operational cost, lengthens battery life, and improves a products overall environmental rating.
